Upon acceptance, students will be asked to send a $250 deposit to the Office of Extended Programs. Students are registered for the courses of their choice after the $250 program deposit is received so that their places are reserved (courses fill up). Once students are registered, the students' account is created.

It is important that all payments (after the $250 deposit) be made directly to the Student Accounts Office. The Student Accounts Office emails your Lesley email account on a monthly basis, providing you with due date and student account activity information. Payment for the program must be made in full by June 15, 2010. A late fee of $100 is charged to student accounts not paid in full by June 15, 2010 and monthly thereafter to any outstanding balance. See the Student Accounts Office website for more information.

Students have the option of submitting payments online through the Lesley Online Information System (LOIS). By logging into LOIS and selecting the "pay my bill" option, students can submit payments online at any time. Be sure to view your Lesley University email account often to ensure you are receiving up to date information on your student account.

Payment plans can be arranged in advance through the Student Accounts Office. The Student Accounts staff can also recommend helpful private loan information, which is applicable to the YAR program. For further information on payment plans, making a payment, due dates and much more visit: www.lesley.edu/studentaccounts.

Refund Policy:

Students who withdraw for any reason must do so in writing. Withdrawals may be faxed to 617.585.6721 and must include the student's name and date. The application fee is non-refundable. Staffing and Services:

The Coordinator of the Young Artist Residency program oversees a staff of an Assistant Coordinator and AIB mentors and van drivers. The program maintains a ratio of one mentor to seven students. Most mentors are upper level college students or graduates of AIB or Lesley University and have experience with teen leadership and a special interest in working with young artists. Some mentors are also educators who teach in the pre-college program. In addition to the live-in mentors, the university staffs the residence halls with a live-in Summer Residence Assistant (RA).

The University Student Health Service provides YAR staff access to a Nurse Practitioner on an on-call basis during weekday business hours. Should the need arise, students are taken to the walk-in clinic of a nearby hospital. The YAR program has access to an on-call professional Psychology Counselor as well as a Coordinator of Disabilities Services for students who may need situational support. Many security guards and AIB staff are trained in CPR.

The Public Safety office is located on the main campus adjacent to the residence halls. This office never closes and staff are always available to respond to security needs and emergencies. All AIB students are issued college IDs for the duration of the program. Their ID allows access to all buildings, studios, and some equipment.

The Fitness Center is located on the main campus adjacent to the residence halls.
